In most cases, Jeep pairs this with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that makes 290 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque. If you opt for four-wheel drive with the Overland or the Summit or Summit Reserve, you have the option of a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that makes 357 hp and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. Trailering equipment is available. V6 models can tow 4,500 pounds. V8 models can tow 6,200 pounds.
Jeep Grand Cherokee L - Safety
Standard safety features include a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, lane keeping assistance and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning. The Summit models add lane keeping and automated parking and upgrade the camera to a 360-degree model.

Rear-wheel drive is standard. Four-wheel drive is optional and included with the Summit and Summit Reserve trim levels. Jeep offers Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II depending on the trim. Proximity keyless entry and push-button ignition are standard.
